“Siren Song” re-interprets the iconography of Southern California from film & television that seduced me to head west as a young man. In this series, the fabricated images of those fictional tales I watched growing up are deconstructed to their most basic elements, the colored lights which form the illusion of motion itself. Photographing my actual childhood television, the shows I saw in the 1980’s and 1990’s become abstracted nostalgia in camera to remind one of the power media to shape perception and the sensational allure of the west that ultimately led me to call it home.
